Time to take control

Hi Guys,
Hope you are having a good week? Monday was a complete shock to the system when I had to get out of bed first thing....I had got used to having a bit of a lie in over half term!
Last week I mentioned how I had gone to watch the new Fifty Shades film, the main character in the film Christian Grey is a complete control freak, in all aspects of his life (not just in the bedroom!). Now his character takes it to the extreme, however a certain level of control can be good when it comes to success.
When I first started my own business I was terrible, I had to do everything myself and I liked things doing my way.....which wasn't a good thing as I ended up working myself into the ground, never having a holiday and not keeping things fresh. I am a lot more relaxed than I used to be and I am happy for people to help me out and I am open to new ideas.
Now there are certain aspects of my life that I have full control over and other aspects that I have no control over (which drives me mad as I am impatient lol). Now the things I can control are my diet and exercise regimes and also how I react to situations.
The reaction to certain situations is something that I have had to learn and practice as I have got older........however I have learnt not to react negatively to situations we have no control over, the only person suffering by doing so was me!
When it comes to training and healthy eating having some control is good. Saying no to the tray of cakes and getting up when the alarm goes off for training (and yes there are many times I want to press snooze) all leads to results and success. All this has an impact on my overall well-being, I feel happier, I have more energy and I have more confidence. Getting fit and healthy is not only a physical thing; it can help us improve emotionally and with our general well-being.
Do what make's you happy, never have regrets and live the life you want. If you want help becoming the 'Managing director' of your own mind and life then click one of the links below

Right Tools for the job

Hello Troops,
Hope you have had a good weekend?
Half term is now over so back to the early morning gym sessions and getting to bed earlier! Last week gave me the chance to do stuff that I haven't been able to do for a while, one was to get my accounts done (boring) and the other was to go to some business networking events which I don't get chance to do when I am at work.
So Friday I had a networking binge day.......Now I used to go to regular networking events and then just got out of the habit of going. It was good to make new contacts and meet people from different businesses. Now one thing I realised when I was at the events was that my business cards were out of date and I only had a handful left! Now as exchanging business cards is a must at these kind of events I realised that I needed to get some more (just wrote on my to do list lol).
Now when it comes to joining bootcamp all the tools you need are some comfy clothes, some trainers and a drink. Oh and the willingness to take part. Once you get here let us do the rest, we will guide you, tell you what to do and there are plenty of like minded people to 'network' with. So why not give us a try and click one of the links below :)

50 shades of filth ;)

Hi Guys,
Hope you are having a good week so far?
Half term this week so I am enjoying not having to get up at the crack of dawn! Yesterday I went to see 50 shades of filth, sorry 50 shades darker with my friend. Now watching Jamie Dornan (aka Mr Grey) for a couple of hours is enough to brighten anyone's day up!
Now for me watching such films just makes my standards even higher when it comes to guys ;) In all honesty I would settle with a 70% Jamie Dornan and be happy lol.
50 shades
discouraged
Now I won't spoil the film for you....but the female character Anastasia Steele wasn't happy with some of the 'terms' that Mr Grey wanted for their relationship....she stuck to her guns and eventually got the relationship that she wanted.
Now she didn't get there straight away and she had to persevere and eventually she got the results that she wanted.
The same goes with health and fitness, sometimes you don't see they results straight away, however, everytime you exercise or eat healthy you are progressing towards your end goal. Never get discouraged as eventually you will get the result you want!

Accountability

Hi Troops,
Hope you have all had a good weekend?
I have had a busy one....out with work on Friday night, busting my moves on the dance floor till the early hours and I was the last one standing and completely sober! I only got about 5 hours sleep as was working Saturday morning and quite frankly I felt hungover I was that tired! I am an 7 hours or more kinda girl lol.
Then out for the big bro's birthday on Saturday evening, I managed to get a power nap in before went out otherwise I wouldn't have got through the evening!
Sunday morning I had planned a run with my friend and when my alarm went off I just wanted to switch it off and turn over. Now this is why making plans with someone is great as you have someone to be accountable to. It is the same for my bikini competition prep, I like having a coach to keep me in check and have someone there to tell me off if I go off track.
It is so easy to quit or not turn up to training if there is no-one there asking where you were!
So if you want to make it easier to train and stick to healthy eating then make yourself accountable to someone.

Confidence + happiness = Attractiveness

Hi Guys,
Hope you have all had a good week and felt loved this Valentines week?
I was reading something the other day that said in order to be loved we have to learn to love ourselves. Now I totally agree with this, if we rely on someone else to make us happy instead of making ourselves happy then we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. I can also speak from experience that if we want someone else to make us happy then we tend to put up with behaviour which is unacceptable and often become weak in the process.
This then has a knock on effect on other areas of our lives and most of all our confidence. I was in this position only last year....I was stressed about work, upset about my mum when she was ill and I piled on the pounds (of fat not muscle!) Fast forward a year and I am in a completely different place, both emotionally and physically. Since I have felt truly happy again I have been attracting more attention from the male variety. I have dated more, I have been chatted up when out and even had 21 year olds asking me out lol. I also got up Monday morning to two red roses left on my car windscreen.
Now there are many things which give us more confidence, however, in the main it is things that make us feel good about ourselves, if we feel good, we start to look good, we laugh more and we are generally happier.
Exercise and diet are two of the things that can help us look good, feel good and give us more confidence! How many times have you beaten yourself up for eating that healthy meal or for doing a work-out? I am guessing not at all!?
Whatever gives you more confidence and makes you feel good about yourself then you should do more often. So click one of the links below and get your happy back :)

Sometimes you've got to kiss a lot of frogs

Hi Guys,
Hope you have all had a good weekend?
I had a busy one, out with a friend Saturday night and I was marshalling at a road race yesterday......I was dressed like the Mitchellin Man just to keep warm!
When I was out on Saturday I got chatted up by a 21 year old! He thought I was 27 (yes he was drunk but I am going to take it lol!). Now I haven't given you all an update on my personal life for a while.....after Christmas I succumbed to the world of online dating. I have had a couple of dates since Christmas....yet I have to find someone who is of husband quality, I often find it a ball ache spending time with someone I am not that interested in, however, I am more likely to meet my Mr Right by going out dating than sat in on an evening. Also every time I meet a frog I am one step closer to meeting my prince ;)
Sometimes we have to put ourselves out of our comfort zone, sit and endure someone talking at us for a whole afternoon to get one step closer to getting what we want. The same goes for exercise, if we sit at home we are not going to get results.......if you want to achieve your goal you have to be consistent, you have to go out and train when you dont feel like it, you have to put yourself out of your comfort zone and realise that every session is one step closer to the end goal.
So click one of the links below to get one step closer to your own 'charming goal'.

Mozilla not responding

Hi Guys,
Hope you are all having a good week?
The other day I was catching up on some admin and my emails decided to go really slow, you know the type of message you get 'mozilla not responding'. Now I am one of the most impatient people I know lol, so when something doesn't work straight away I tend to press every button going or shout at my lap top!
We expect our internet to work at full speed and fast, however when it comes to diet and exercise there isn't a quick fix. It would be great if we could install the perfect body overnight, unfortunately it doesn't work like that! Even I know I have to be patient when it comes to getting results.
Reaching our health and fitness goals requires, consistency, dedication, motivation and most of all patience! There are lots of plans out there that promise fast results and quick fixes.....however these fixes are normally short term as the extreme plans aren't sustainable.
If you want long lasting results, then lifestyle changes need to be put in place. Be consistent, don't give up when your progress starts to slow down and keep shocking the body by adding variety to your training.

We all have scars, we all have stories

Hi Troops,
Half way through yet another week.......time really does fly when you are having fun, or getting older lol!
The other day I was having a conversation with someone at work and I'm not sure how we got onto it but I started telling them about a scar I had from an operation I had when I was younger. Behind every scar, either physical or emotional is a story.........
For those that don't know the story behind one of my physical scars.......I was born with a hole in the heart and when I was nine years old I had open heart surgery to 'fix' it. I still have two leaking valves so I go for check up's every four years (in fact that has got me thinking I am probably due a check up soon).
Now for me I grew up with this scar so it is a part of me and I sometimes forget I have it and forget what I actually went through at the time! However on occasions I remember I have this scar and sometimes feel self conscious about it. It's normally when I have to get my kit off in front of new people lol.....when I did my first bikini competition I was quite conscious of it, well at least until the perma tan was on and it was covered up! Also getting my kit off in front of a new partner (sorry Dad if your reading) I always wonder what they are thinking.
I realise that not all scars are visible, most people carry around some emotional scars with them too. Going back to getting your kit off, I am sure there are many more people who feel the same as I do when getting naked in front of someone new. No matter how comfortable we are with how we look we can become critical when getting naked.
Some people have scars from a bad experience they have had through exercise too......we might have had a bad experience at the gym, in a fitness session or in most cases the emotional scars go as far back as hating their PE lessons at school!
Now I could go on all day about the different physical and emotional scars we may all suffer from (well mine alone would be a weeks worth of blogs lol). However no matter what your scar, there is always a way of dealing with it, making yourself stronger and building your confidence.
At Fit 4 Force we can help you feel better about yourself, achieve your goals and help you feel proud of how you look naked! So if you want to re-write your story click one of the links below and tell those scars to do one ;)
