Health is the new wealth!

Hi Troops,
Hope you are having a good week so far? I think I have cursed the weather with my Mr Blue Sky blog on Monday :(
I was on instagram earlier today and I came across a photo/meme that really made me smile as I thought it was so true.
happiness is the new rich
I loved the health is new wealth part! Especially in the business that I have....... it doesn't matter how much money you have in the bank, if you are unhealthy and can't live a good quality life due to health issues then no amount of money can change that.
Today I want to focus on the happiness part, as I believe this can be the contributing factor that effects the other elements, inner peace, health and kindness.
Before I started Fit 4 Force and even before I went back to University I was pretty miserable, I had a job I didn't like, didn't have a boyfriend and constantly felt tired, my emotions were up and down & I suffered with IBS. I had a good job, went on holiday 3 times a year, bought nice clothes and socialised nearly every weekend, however, there was something that was missing. I used to go shopping all the time to make myself feel better!
So when I went to University things changed for the better, I had no money, my holidays went down to none a year and I bought clothes from Primarni instead of Oasis! However I was happy, I felt fulfilled in what I was doing, I had a focus and I seemed to have more energy......I even got a boyfriend (granted he didn't last that long but I am on about happiness not taste lol!).
So over the last 6 years I have run my business I have had up's and downs, times when I have wanted to jack it all, times I struggled to pay my rent, however despite all that I love what I do, I am passionate about it and finally I have found inner peace/happiness & wealth in the form of health!
I finally feel like things are slotting into place and yes there are things missing in my life (i.e fella/kids/Scirocco) however the difference is I want these things in my life rather than need them. Before I went to University I so wanted to meet someone so I could get pregnant and quit working! Not the best career choice but at the time I just wanted a way out! Instead I created the life I wanted, it might not be perfect, however, I get up 6 days a week, work long hours to do a job I love.
When it comes to fitness and healthy eating you might feel like I did in the job I hated, you might want a quick fix, an easy option or for someone to make it easy for you. Now we can help to support and guide you, however, you have to work hard, you have to be dedicated and there is certainly no quick fixes with us.........quick fixes lead to long term failure! So if you are not happy or want to change something then click one of the links below.
Happiness, inner peace and being kind has a positive effect on your health, well being and inevitably how you look!

Wahey Mr Blue Sky

Sun is shinin' in the sky
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin' everybody's in a play
And don't you know
It's a beautiful new day, hey hey
Well what gorgeous weather we have had over the last week or so.......I even had the super soaker out at bootcamp last Monday to cool everyone down whilst training.
I was at a concert on Wednesday night with Mama & Papa S, we went to see ELO (hence the lyrics above), they were fab but OMG it was hot in the arena! I was sweating just sitting still let alone when I started dancing. Click the link below for a feel good Monday vibe!
Now after last weeks email I thought I best stick to my word and keep up with the blogging.......however I have had yet another action packed weekend! It has been a gym themed one, socialising with some girls from MFG gym (where I run my sessions) on Friday and then with a group of girls I met through training on Saturday. I was shattered yesterday!
Recently I have had something on every weekend, my brother even called me a social butterfly the other day! Now for me after all the prepping for competitions it is nice to socialise without having to take my own food lol.
So many things have happened over the last few years that make you realise that life is for living! When my Mum got ill a couple of years ago it makes you reasses what is important. All the trivial things that used to stress me out no longer matter, being fit healthy and happy is what matters.
Now it does feel that I have gone from competing to a fat alcoholic in the space of a couple of months lol. Joking aside, I have gone from being super strict to having the odd treat and glass of wine on a weekend. And the biggest thing I have found is that I have only put a couple of lbs on! I think I was stressed out about competing in the end my body stopped responding. Don't get me wrong if I had lots of treats everyday then I would balloon. I am doing an endurance event at the weekend so I will be glad that it is an exercise themed weekend instead!
If you are consistent with your training and eat consistently well then the odd treat isn't going to kill you!

Can't keep using 'being busy' as an excuse

Hi Guys,
In case you were worried yes I am still on the planet and still running Fit 4 Force. I have however been slack as a bag of you know whats with my blogs and admin! And I am going to use the same excuse that a lot of people use for not exercising.......I have just been so busy I don't seem to have any time!!!
Blah blah blah.......now I am actually rolling my eyes at myself to my lame excuse, of course I have had the time, the fact of the matter is I have decided to do other things with that time instead of getting my backside into gear!
I will admit though that my weekends have been action packed with doing fun stuff and having a life again! I will give you a quick round up of my 'excuses' before I go back to bo**ock myself in my blog!
So last weekend I was on a spa break for my friends birthday......we went to a lovely place in Cheshire, had lunch (and a few cheeky cocktails) then a couple of treatments and an overnight stay. It was fab and boy did I need the downtime. Work and life in general has been so full on recently I don't ever seem to relax unless I am away from home........anyone who runs their business from home will know that you never get away from it all. Then this weekend just gone I enjoyed a lovely meal out with friends then a few drinks and a boogie afterwards.
Now the one thing I am good at is still training, I get up 5 days a week to hit the gym before work and that is part of my daily/weekly routine. Just like doing my blogs and admin was part of my weekly routine....then a few weeks ago i started to let it slide and then the back log hit and sometimes you just don't know where to start.
someone busier than you
The same goes for training and eating healthy, you might have had a routine which you let slide, or you may have put some weight on and you sometimes think 'where the hell do I start'!? Now the important thing is that you start....you are not going to get results overnight, just like I am not going to get through all my work in one afternoon! However sat in Costa now (aka my second office) I am making that start.
So if you are struggling to get back into healthy eating or training, or just don't know where to start then why not click one of the links below.......if I can make a start on my massive to do list then you can make a step towards a new healthier, fitter you!?

Do it for the after selfie!

Hi Guys,
Hope you are all ready for the weekend......I am heading off on a Spa break this weekend so I can't wait to relax and have a back massage!
Since I have finished my comp prep my weekends have gone out of the window when it comes to healthy eating and staying away from alcohol! To be honest I have had something on every weekend for the past 6 weeks.........and I have one free weekend till I go on holiday in August!! I am not complaining as life is for living and with all recent events no one knows what is round the corner.
However I know that I need to 'reign' it in a bit before I start piling on the pounds. And with my holiday fast approaching I want to look my best when I hit the Espania beaches. Now most of us start eating healthy and exercising as we have a goal in mind or like me just want to look my best all the time (or 95% of the time at least!).
Now we live in a selfie culture, if I'm honest anytime I try to do a selfie I look half asleep with a double chin (I'm not the best of doing them). I do track my bodies progress pictures so I can see how far I have come. When you look at your own body all the time you don't see the changes.
So whatever you have got on on a weekend or even the week when it comes to socialising, remember that after selfie that you are aiming for! I know I always want to have the best after selfie without doing 100 edits lol.
after selfie
Have a good weekend and stay safe.

Another weekend of terror!

Hi Troops,
Well I didn't think I would be writing about another terror attack so soon after the Manchester bombing!
I was over at my friends on Saturday and saw the news whilst we were out Saturday night! I just couldn't believe it....what kind of world are we living in!!? It is scary to think that you might go on a night out or a weekend away somewhere and never make it home!
It puts things into perspective and makes you realise how precious life is. So go out and live it......be happy, spend time with those who are important and who you love, take care of yourself and live a life that makes you happy!
I want to thank all my customers past and present as you have enabled me to follow my dream and have a job I love!
Have a great week!

What a fab bank holiday!

Hey Guys,
Sorry for being a bit behind (again) with my blog.....I have just been mega busy. Anyway today (on what is a lovely sunny day) I am catching up with all my admin! Going to do another hour before I get the deck chair out in the garden!
I had yet another busy weekend, this time I was in Edinburgh with a group of friends. We went up to support another of our friends who was doing the Edinburgh Marathon. It was great to be sat watching for a change, especially as it was so warm and the bonus was I got to watch fit guys running past ;) ! I can't imagine how I ever did a Marathon!!
A couple of my friends have just got a French Bulldog, Pierre.....now anyone who knows me well will know that I am not an animal lover let alone a dog lover, however, Pierre changed all that he was so cute!! Plus the amount of people that spoke to us when we were out on the Saturday was un-believable. I think I need a dog to find myself a fella lol!
Then of course there was the might Huddersfield Town making their way up to the Premier League. I am not a football fan, however, to see a local club achieve so much is amazing!
When my friend started training for the Marathon she did it gradually and built up the distance over a period of time....the same with Town, they made small changes and were consistent which got them to where they are today! Unfortunately things don't happen over night. You can't go to one fitness class and expect to be stronger and two dress sizes smaller. You have to build fitness into your weekly routine, be consistent and see the changes happen.
So whatever your goal is why not click one of the links below. Start to make small changes, be consistent and good things will start to happen :)
