Why have one man when you can have two!

Take your minds out of the gutter........I am talking purely business!

Now if you read my blogs you will know that last year I became a Director of Legacy Sport as well as still running Fit 4 Force. It has been a fantastic 12 months and I have really enjoyed working with my fellow Directors and Business Partners, Shaun & Jonny. So much so that as of last week Shaun and Jonny became partners of Fit 4 Force!

These two guys are great additions to Fit 4 Force and we are excited about offering more products and seeing what the future holds for Fit 4 Force. For you guys who train with me, everything will be the same, you will still have me shouting 'Burpees' to you all. Although Shaun is an ex PE teacher and Jonny currently still a PE teacher so if they fancy cracking the whip sometime then they are qualified to do so.

In July Fit 4 Force will have been going for 7 years!! Not sure where the time has gone! I have loved every minute of it. Running my own business has put me out of my comfort zone, I have gained some valuable experience, gained loads more confidence and I feel proud that I have helped so many people over the years. However I am not going to lie, doing it solo has been lonely, there have been times I have wanted to quit. There has been blood, sweat and many tears gone into Fit 4 Force.

When I started with Legacy, I realised how great it was to work with others, people to bounce ideas off, people who have different ideas and skill set to myself which makes a great team. I can ask friends and family for opinions, however, it is not the same.

The same goes for exercise.........you can do it alone, or you can do it as a team. You can go from friend & family advice or you can go to an expert.

At boot camp we start the session together and finish together, we encourage and build each other up and we often have a laugh!

Now I ran a business for nearly 7 years on my own and I managed, however, I now know that working with others is so much easier.......and I know results will come quicker.

What would you do with an extra 5 years?

Hi All,

Hope you have been enjoying the nice weather we have been having recently?......I have to admit that it is a joy to be outside doing bootcamp when the sun is shining!

A couple of weeks ago I was at Sports engagement morning and one of the questions which was asked was what would you do if you had an extra 5 years to live?

What a question to answer, there is so much I would do in 5 years! Research suggests that by being physically active you can increase your life expectancy by 5 years. Now I don['t know about you guys, but for me that is a major reason to keep active. I look back over the last 5 years and I have done so many fun things and achieved so much.....so why wouldn't anyone want to live an extra 5 years.

I think there is a misconception that if you are naturally slim you don't have to exercise or you only have to do it to lose weight. There are so many benefits to health and well-being by being physically active that everyone should be doing it!
  • Reduce risk of many chronic disease (including some cancer)
  • Great for heart health
  • Improve mood
  • Boost your immune system
  • Change your shape and tone your body
  • Makes you more motivated
  • keeps you looking younger!
I have attached a link to a video of children who were asked the same question........for me this video alone is an inspiration to keep moving.

Everyone should feel pretty!

Hi Guys,

Hope you have enjoyed the long weekend and more importantly the nice weather!

I had a great weekend, flew by as normal.......it is true what they say life does seem to go really quick the older I get, or is it the busier I get!?

Anyway at the weekend I went to see the new Amy Schumer film...'I feel Pretty'. Now I am not here to do a film review, however, this film was funny and most of all empowering! I think I could write a few blogs from the content, however, I will try and stick to one.....and try not to ruin the story line!

So in a nutshell, the character Renee, was single, in a job she didn't like, was a bit overweight and lacked confidence. The first thing that I picked up in the film was a part where she went to a 'spin' class. She turned up, not sure how to use the equipment, everyone in the class were super skinny (which is not reality when you go to any training session) and the receptionist looked down at her as if she shouldn't be there. She got on the bike fell off and ripped her pants. Now most people would never go back, however, her character went back and this is where her life changed. She ended up falling off the bike, hitting her head and when she woke up she saw herself completely different....she saw she was beautiful with a slim toned body. The positive effect this had on her life was amazing. She landed a dream job, found herself a boyfriend and lived life to the full.

Now to everyone else she looked the same, she hadn't dropped any weight, however, her belief and confidence soared through the roof, because of this everyone looked at her in a different light!!

Now fast forward an hour or so and she hit her head again and her 'spell' as she called it had worn off....she saw herself as she had previously, her confidence plummeted and she quit her job, dumped her boyfriend as she thought no-one would recognise her or want her!

Now I am not going to spoil the ending, however, it really struck a chord with me.....just by changing the way you think can have a massive impact on your life. I have done previous blogs on the law of attraction....what we believe we can achieve.

The film was set out with complete extremes, however, I do believe there are classes out there that don't make everyone feel welcome........one of things we like to promote at Fit 4 Force is that people of all shapes, sizes and fitness abilities are made to feel welcome. Our main job is to help increase your fitness levels, however a positive by product of that is to help build confidence, whether that is just by attending the session, helping you believe you can achieve something, or by helping change the way you look and feel about yourself.

This film was based around a female character, however, the same goes for men......we are here to help. This film really inspired me.....so let me inspire you guys and click on the links below!

Don't save things for best....

Hi Guys,

Hope you are having a good week so far?

Over the last few weeks I have been having a good clear out of old things at home, it is amazing how much stuff I have!

Anyway I was going through my cupboards and realised how much nice stuff I have that I don't tend to use as I like to keep it for 'best'! The prime example of this is my Mum and Dad bought me a lovely make-up & toilet bag for Christmas (well I say my Dad but he doesn't know what 'they' have got me till I open the present lol). Now these items are Ted Baker ones so I thought I best keep them for 'best' and not use them everyday. So they are in my bathroom cupboard gathering dust, waiting to be used probably 4 or 5 times a year when I go away!

Now as I am writing this they are still gathering dust, however, I will get them down this week and put them in my gym bag!

How many of you out there save things for best though? Whether it is clothes, shoes, bags, items or even worse your health! Just like I am sat here thinking I need to get my nice make-up bag etc down from my bathroom cabinet, how many of you are probably thinking that you will start your healthy eating 'On Monday'? Or how many have been saying that you are going to start exercising 'soon'?

Now I can either watch my toilet bag gather dust or I can get it out and starting using it! I will only get one chance to use that particular toilet bag....I am however lucky that when that one has worn out I can buy another. Something we cant do with our bodies. We only get one chance to look after it, to treat it well and fuel it right.

So if you want to take the leap and not save things for best.....because that 'best' day may never come! Click one of the links below to start making changes today!
